Bog Oak & Fossil Wood
Bog Oak - is formed when oak limbs or whole trees drop into bogs on marshlands. Submerged in these conditions, the wood is preserved and takes on a much richer, dark brown and black colour, yet retaining the iconic oak grain. Typically bog oak would be around 5,000 years old.
Fossil Wood - sometimes called Petrified Wood, occurs when a trees organic material is replaced by minerals over the course of millions of years, turning it to stone.
These two elements of this sacred piece, offer deep grounding and ancient wisdom.
