Just after Christmas I had the pleasure of photographing Sarah and Simon’s wedding in Cheltenham. It was a beautiful setting at Ellenborough Park, a beautiful venue and very inviting this time as year.

There was beautiful winter light to be captured at Nickie and Waynes wedding on Saturday. They were married and had their reception at the fabulous Clearwell Castle. We were lucky with the weather, it was beautifully sunny.

We had a fun little pre wedding photo shoot at Pittville Pump Rooms on Saturday. Wayne and Nickie are to be married at Clearwell Castle on December 9th this year and I can’t wait to cover it, see you soon guys.

Gloucester Cathedral

Last night had the pleasure of hooking up with my old mentor Leigh Preston who had kindly arranged for us to photograph inside the Cathedral in Gloucester. I haven’t had the pleasure of photographing a wedding there and would dearly love to if ever possible, check out the amazing architecture. There was an abundance of great quality light to capture everywhere you looked too, and the combination was exceptional. I would dearly love to capture a bride and groom there. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Clearwell Castle

Clearwell Castle was voted Venue of the year in 2010, it’s certainly one of my favourites to visit. I get to see it again in January and can’t wait to photograph a winter wedding there.

Having not utilised this window set up during the day as per usual ( the bride and groom usually say their vows stood in front of it ) I thought it was a shame not to use it at all so we went back there with the flower girl and shot a portrait of her on the step. I love it for its simplicity, using one directional light off to the side and letting the scene do the rest, well maybe there is a little more to it than that.
